Tied up with a touch of Midi

We are grown ups now and in this journey of life we have seen various lengths of skirts: mini, midi, micro mini etc. There were days when mini was ‘The’ thing. It was 1960’s that saw it’s boom and it was all over while we were growing up in the 1990’s. Those were the times when wearing the mini skirt was our idea of style, be it a school skirt, a party dress or a sports day dress; it was just there everywhere.

And, as we grew up we saw the hemlines kicking from mini, to knee, to midi. Today the midi skirt is really having a moment and it is perfect for pulling off this season’s demure trends. From voluminous to pleated, or flowy to full, it is a trend your wardrobe needs to accommodate without doubt.

One more addition to our trend list are the hottest shoes of summer, the tied up heels or flats. Midi skirts and tied up heels are one deadly combination. The lace effect with midi hemlines screams of an edgy sexy look.

P chose a pleated midi skirt and combined it with a cape layered top. Chunky gold geometric earrings, with a classy blue eyeliner and scoop tied wavy hair, gave her that lady like look. The tied up flats complemented it and tied up the whole look.

S chose an eclectic look. She wore a lace midi skirt and a cold shoulder, high neck top. Her side ponytail hairdo with those glittery tassel earrings perfectly blended with her look.  The tied up pointed stilettos she wore are not only the most coveted shoes of the season, but also downright sexy.

P wore a floral print fringe kimono over a ganji ,layering being the key to ace the look and she combined it with a pair of shorts. Her look couldn’t have been complete without the beguiling beaded and printed necklace and woven bracelets, all the amazing accessories she received at the mesmerising Payal Singhal show last year at the Amazon Fashion Week. Her beaded flats steal the look completely.

PS Twinning the Dungaree Way

What the HYPE about the dungarees?

Rocking the trend this season are the dungarees! Making a come back from the eighteenth century, dungarees were first seen in Bombay, as the uniform of labourers and slaves. From workers to trendsetters dungarees have seen it all.

Today it has stormed the street style worldwide.

We choose the hype dungarees by Spring Break, for their chic, hype style. And what could suit us better than the shouty HYPE LOOK.

Overalls are a piece of clothing that can be paired with sneakers or slip ons. P combined the fashion staple with a cutout sleeves top and embellished slip ons and completed the look with her favourite black bag pack that she bought from Dubai. Her add-ons, a studded and snake leather bracelet which is unerring for that edgy yet chic look.

S paired her dungarees with a sporty style top and sneakers. The crossbody transparent sling is the oomph factor of the look. This sporty yet street look is perfect to wear for a Sunday brunch, to hype the weekend.

Perfectly Pantone

The Pantone colours of 2016; Serenity and Rose Quartz, reflect connections and wellness. They give us a soothing sense of order and peace. Hence we thought our first story on the blog should be Pantone! Since, it’s the first time Pantone has given two colours of the year and it’s also the year we start our blogging journey, it seems perfect for us to celebrate the two shades in our own way.

P chose her absolute favourite; cape sleeve summer blazer. It gives a super girl feel about oneself as it’s so free, comfortable and perfectly defines the modern woman. She teamed it up with a tranquil blue top. And to neutralize her super girl outfit, she added an expanse of white to it, completing the look with the denims.

On the other hand S had her own dreamy vision of her outfit. She chose a pretty, lost-in-dreams, flared skirt that makes you want to twirl around like a princess. Along with that, she chose a cape layered shirt. And as her outfit wouldn’t have been complete without the calmness of serenity, she chose those kittens.
